Punjenje je odmor, planiran ili ne
Zaustavljanje se događa. Jedino pitanje je događa li se negdje s WC-om, hranom i drugim ljudima, ili u mračnoj uličici trgovačkog parka.
Zaustavljanje nije opcionalno.
Vozač na benzin može prijeći zemlju s jednim petominutnim zaustavljanjem. Električni vozač ne može, i na dugom danu će se zaustaviti dva ili tri puta na dvadeset do četrdeset minuta. Planeri to predstavljaju kao trošak. U usporedbi s dokazima o umoru vozača, prisilni odmor svaka dva sata bliži je prednosti koju tehnologija nameće bez obzira na to želi li to netko ili ne.
Ali gdje se zaustavljate je opcionalno.
Brzi punjači su smješteni gdje je povezanost s mrežom jeftina, što često znači stražnji dio trgovačkog parka, industrijskog kompleksa ili parkirališta bez osvjetljenja i otvorenih objekata. Planer koji optimizira isključivo prema snazi i udaljenosti skretanja usmjerit će vas na ta mjesta bez oklijevanja, jer ništa u njegovoj objektivnoj funkciji ne zna razliku.
Za vozača koji vozi samog u podne, ovo je manja neugodnost. S djecom u automobilu, ili dolazeći na nepoznato mjesto nakon mraka, to je razlika između odmora i četrdeset minuta sjedenja u zaključanom automobilu.
Što tražiti
- Negdje otvoreno u vrijeme kada ćete zapravo stići, a ne u vrijeme kada ste krenuli.
- WC-i koji ne ovise o tome je li trgovina otvorena.
- Osvjetljenje i prolaznici, što je važnije što se kasnije približava.
- Drugi punjač unutar nekoliko kilometara, jer prvi može biti pokvaren.
Zašto većina alata to ignorira
Podaci o sadržajima su skupi za prikupljanje i ne poboljšavaju metriku s kojom se planeri natječu, a to je ukupno vrijeme putovanja. To je zaista teško, a ne samo zanemareno. Također je to red u usporednoj tablici s najširim rasponom između proizvoda, i vrijedi provjeriti u odnosu na vašu vlastitu situaciju, a ne prema općoj preporuci.
